The 2026 NFL draft is over, so let the analyzing and second-guessing begin.

As soon as the NFL drat wrapped up, analysts and experts started sharing their thoughts on the moves that were made amid the three-day event.

NFL draft analyst Rob Rang of Fox Sports has released his list of the best and worst moves in the draft.

“Grading a draft immediately after it concludes is akin to giving your compliments to the chef before the meal has been served. Sure, the food might sound good (or bad) based on the ingredients listed on the menu, but the true evaluation won’t come until after the product has been tested.”

All food references aside, Rang does not like the Miami Dolphins’ draft class. He gives it a “D” grade, so not good at all.

“With an NFL-high 13 draft picks used, no team was better positioned to make a splash in the 2026 draft than the Miami Dolphins — but I’m not convinced this class will prove much better than a belly flop,” he notes in the piece. He does point out a few picks that he likes, noting, “Specifically, I love the selections of cornerback Chris Johnson, wideout Chris Bell and linebacker Kyle Louis, and I like the additions of Jacob Rodriguez and Kevin Coleman, as well.”

But, he calls Alabama’s Kadyn Proctor the “biggest” gamble of the draft. “The Dolphins are in the midst of a complete roster rebuild, so I have no doubt that most of these players will make the team,” he adds. “But will Miami be one that wins more than a handful of games next year? I have my doubts.”

Grading Miami Dolphins’ Draft Class

I’m not as down on this draft class as Rang. As with any round of draft selections, there are some great picks and other head-scratchers. But, even though Rang hates the Proctor pick, and it’s a chancy pick because of his inconsistency, get this guy in an NFL setting with the appropriate coaching, and he could be a boom.

The question isn’t whether this was a good draft class for Miami. The question is if their coaching staff can mentor these young players and get them ready for the NFL. Miami Dolphins draft grade: B-.
