Dramatic dashcam footage captured a car smashing into a house during a police chase before two people fled on foot.
Two police cars arrived moments after the crash on Renwood Road in Simpsonville, South Carolina, with one pursuing one of the fleeing pair.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said deputies had attempted to stop a reported stolen vehicle at around 2.30 p.m. on October 15, 2026, but it fled and crashed into a home moments later.
No injuries were reported.
In an update posted on Facebook, police said two juveniles, aged 15 and 16, were in custody facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.
The crash was recorded by a grocery delivery driver’s dashboard camera as she dropped off an order at the property.
Kristina Andriukova, 32, was carrying shopping to a front door when a loud crash made her turn around.
“I turned around and saw that a car had crashed into the house,” Andriukova said.
“At first, I thought the driver had accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake and driven into the garage.”
But the arrival of police cars, their sirens sounding, quickly revealed the situation.
“Moments later, police cars arrived with their sirens on, and I saw someone running away,” she added.
“That’s when I realized it was actually a police chase.”
Andriukova’s dashcam recorded the incident after she broke with her usual delivery routine and parked on the street.
“Normally, I pull into the driveway to get closer to the house, but for some reason, this time I decided to park on the street instead,” she said.
“My car ended up being parked near the house where the crash occurred.”
Andriukova returned to her vehicle and left, spotting several more police cars heading towards the scene as she drove away.
She said she later saw a news report on Facebook alleging that teenagers had stolen a vehicle and crashed into the house while trying to escape police.
The report said two suspects had been arrested, according to Andriukova, who did not witness the arrests herself.
Police initially said a person believed to have been the driver had been detained after running from the collision.
A subsequent update confirmed that two teenagers were in custody.
“I was simply doing my job, delivering groceries, and suddenly found myself in the middle of a dangerous situation,” Andriukova said.
