The first Mother’s Day since the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today co‑anchor Savannah Guthrie, brought a wave of emotion and renewed urgency as the family issued a public plea for help on social media.

“[M]other, daughter, sister, Nonie – we miss you with every breath. We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you,” Savannah wrote in a post on Instagram Sunday, accompanied by a video full of clips with Nancy, Savannah and other family members. “We need help. Someone knows something that can make the difference. Call 1800CALLFBI. You can be anonymous and the reward remains available. Please keep praying. Bring her home.”

Savannah’s husband, Michael Feldman, also shared an Instagram message honoring his wife, and wrote: “To the strongest person I know. Surrounding you with love on Mother’s Day.”

Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has drawn national attention not only because of her daughter’s public profile, but because the case remains unsolved more than three months later despite extensive searches, federal involvement, and widespread media coverage.

The FBI continues to assist local investigators, and the family believes someone may hold a key piece of information that could break the case open.

What to Know

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on the evening of January 31 at her home in Catalina Foothills, Arizona. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said at a news conference in February that there were clues at the crime scene indicating Nancy “did not leave on her own.” The sheriff told the BBC that month that he believes she was a victim of a targeted kidnapping.

Law enforcement officials have not publicly named any suspects associated with Guthrie’s disappearance.

In February, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department released surveillance photos and videos of a potential subject as part of the investigation.

“Working with our partners…law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department said at the time.

The Guthrie family has pleaded publicly for help in the case multiple times, even speaking directly to the believed kidnapper in videos posted to Instagram and offering to pay ransom.

When approached by a reporter on Friday, Nanos told Fox News Digital that authorities are moving closer to solving the case. The reporter asked the sheriff if he had a message for the Guthrie family ahead of Mother’s Day who responded, “No. I’m okay.”

Nanos was then asked, “It’s 100 days now almost, sir. Are you guys any closer to solving?”

While approaching his Corvette, the sheriff nodded and said, “We are,” before driving away without providing additional details about the progress being made by the task force handling the case.

What Happens Next

The investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance is ongoing. The FBI tip line remains open at 1‑800‑CALL‑FBI, and a reward is still available.
