Josh Hart and the New York Knicks are awaiting their opponent in this year’s NBA Finals after the team’s impressive 11-game winning streak that brought them to the championship round.

That has sent New York City into a frenzy, as fans are excited to see the team’s first Finals appearance since 1999.

They’ll find out who they play after Saturday night’s Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder concludes.

On Saturday, Hart fired off an intriguing message on social media, prompting fans to wonder what he was referring to.

“You couldn’t teach the type of Hate Watch I’m on today,” the Knicks star wrote in a message posted on X.

Commenters replied, “Trippin, u better hope okc win cuz wemby going to do yall tragic,” and “Same, SGA is ruining the league.”

Another said, “Comments like this are the reason you’re the Hart of New York Fandom.”

Hart’s message arrived ahead of the clash between OKC and San Antonio for the other spot in the NBA Finals. However, it also arrived just before a clash between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League Final.

“Fyi, he is not talking about Spurs and Okc. This kinda hate is for Arsenal. My guy,” another commenter said.

As of this writing, Arsenal held a 1-0 lead over PSG in the highly anticipated matchup. Hart is a fan of Chelsea FC, as seen in a video with journalist Ariel Helwani earlier this year.

Hart, one of several Villanova stars on the Knicks, has contributed throughout their postseason run, with big buckets, rebounds, steals, and blocks. He’s become a popular star in NYC due to his grit and hustle on the basketball court.

Like his teammates, he is highly invested in seeing the outcome of Saturday’s soccer and basketball games. However, his team has seemed determined and focused on capturing a championship for New York City.

While Hart is still posting on social media, his teammate Jalen Brunson revealed he is avoiding social media during the NBA Playoffs to keep his focus clear and avoid the distractions of criticism.

Game 7 between the Spurs and Thunder tips off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday from Oklahoma City.
