Emergency services are attending the wreckage of a plane crash in Sydney’s south-west.

The light plane is understood to have crashed around 12.15pm on Saturday at Belimbla Park near The Oaks, in Sydney’s outer south-west.

The crash site is near two flying schools, Sydney Recreational Flying Club and Dave’s Flying School, both in The Oaks. However, it is not known if the crashed plane was associated with either of these schools.

NSW Police, Fire and Rescue and NSW Ambulance are attending the scene, with at least two firetrucks and several ambulances present.

It is not yet known how many people were on the plane or if any people were injured.
