Welcome to Plathville’s Lydia Plath is opening up about what she describes as “the hardest week” of her life.
“Thank you to everyone for all the love and prayers in this time❤️🩹,” Lydia, 22, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, October 15. “I ended up in the hospital as I was having the miscarriage. It was a really traumatic experience as I was hemorrhaging and bleeding to the point of passing out. I got an emergency D&C and a blood transfusion and I’m recovering well.”
One day earlier, Lydia revealed to her social media followers that she suffered a pregnancy loss after discovering that she was expecting her and husband Zac Wyse’s first baby.
“There’s no words for the pain as we grieve the loss of our little angel,” the reality star wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, October 14. “Our first child, our greatest love, and a true miracle. We’re so grateful for the short time we had with our baby bean.”
Through all the difficult moments of the past week, Lydia has not lost her faith.
“Even through all of that, we saw the hand of God protecting us and caring for us in the pain❤️,” she shared in her latest post. “So many people have come together to care for us. It’s been beautiful to see just how loved this baby was❤️.”
Lydia continued, “And a HUGE thank you to my husband’s boss for giving him more than a week off to grieve with me, care for me and hold through this time❤️. Thank you all again for the love, prayers and scripture verses🤍🕊️❤️🩹 .”
Lydia and Zac got married in February 2025 after being engaged for two months. The couple had their first kiss on their wedding day.
Since then, the couple has continued to celebrate their biggest milestones on social media.
“2 years ago Zac asked me to be his girlfriend💞 and we’ve been married for a year and a half of those 2 years!☺️❤️,” Lydia wrote via Instagram on September 4. “I wouldn’t have it any other way!❤️ Here’s to 2 years of joy, growth, love and getting to spend every day with my best friend!💗Love you @zaclwyse 🤍
In his own social media post, Zac, 24, celebrated his wife by writing, “Happy 2 years since I met the love of my life! Truly the most amazing two years! I have enjoyed every moment, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner to do this life with! Love you ❤️.”
