Miranda Kerr opened up about her decision to knock back an invitation to appear in the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

“I was really, seriously considering it,” the Australian-born model, 43, admitted during the Tuesday, November 3, episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. “I’d just walked Stella McCartney and I had a great time. I felt really in alignment with where I was at, it felt very elegant and I love Stella.”

Kerr, who ended her time with Victoria’s Secret in 2013 when her contract expired, continued, “When Victoria’s Secret asked me [back], I was like, ‘Ooh, that could be fun,’ and I thought of all the fun memories, and how playful it was and how it would be so cool … to get back out on the runway and give them a wink. I got really excited.” (The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was staged in Los Angeles on October 18, 20 years after Kerr first stepped onto the event’s runway.)

But despite the KORA Organics founder’s friends and business associates encouraging her Victoria’s Secret return, something didn’t feel right. “I got, kind of, anxious and then I was meditating and I really felt into, ‘How am I actually going to feel when I’m up there on the runway? Everyone’s in their underwear, I’m in my underwear, I’m 43, I have four boys, I’m just … I got, like, this knot in my stomach,” she recalled. “As much as I tried to meditate and ease it, it was still there.”

Kerr, who shares son Flynn, 15, with ex Orlando Bloom, and sons Hart, 8, Myles, 6, and Pierre, 2, with her husband, Evan Spiegel, added that there was only one way to eliminate the knot.

“The only way I could resolve it [was] to say, ‘OK, you’re not going to do the show. How do you feel now?’ [and] I felt the knot in my stomach release,” she said. “That’s why I knew it was the right decision for me not to do it as much as I was wanting to.”

When podcast host Amanda Hirsch suggested that perhaps the model no longer felt “connected to that image” of herself anymore, Kerr responded, “Maybe. I’m at a different stage of my life … [but] I love all of those fun pictures.”

Kerr took to social media prior to the Fashion Show to let fans know she wouldn’t be appearing in the star-studded mix. “20 years since my first @victoriassecret show 🪽,” she wrote via Instagram on October 17. “Looking back with so much gratitude for the friendships, the magical memories and for everyone who made that chapter of my life so special.”

She continued at the time, “It meant so much to be invited to return this year, especially as it marks 20 years since my first show … but I ultimately felt in my heart it was right to cherish this chapter as it was. Sending so much love and light to everyone in this year’s show! 💖🌈🧚‍♀️.”

Alongside the message, Kerr shared a string of throwback photos of herself on the Victoria’s Secret runway. In the post’s comments section, the brand supported its former star, writing via its official Instagram account, “Always an Angel to us 💖🪽.”
