Heavily armed police have swarmed a busy street in one of Sydney’s most exclusive suburbs, with a man reportedly apprehended during the operation.
Prince Albert Street in Mosman was closed off during a police operation just after 7am on Tuesday, NSW Police said in a statement.

Residents on the street told the Mosman Collective website that officers entered a home near The Buena restaurant and removed a man “very quickly”.
“When the riot squad van turned up, we were very alarmed, and police had a loudhailer they were using to warn the man they were coming for him,” a resident told the Mosman Collective.
In a statement, NSW Police said an 18-year-old man was spoken to by officers before leaving the scene.
Prince Albert Street was earlier closed but has since reopened. Police said an operation was ongoing, but there was no threat to the community.
More to come.
