A series of recalls issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers about multiple products sold on Amazon that pose “serious” risks ranging from choking and fire hazards to head injuries and potential death.
The recalls span multiple product categories, including household products, protective gear, and children’s toys.
Everyday Household Products Recalled
At the center of the recalls is a set of EEMB lithium coin battery packs, which were sold in large quantities—more than 300,000 units—over nearly three years, from August 2023 to April 2026. The issue isn’t the batteries themselves, but how they’re packaged. Federal law mandates that coin batteries should be sold in child-resistant packaging, due to the danger they pose if they are swallowed.
In this case, the packaging failed to meet those requirements, raising the risk of internal burns or death if ingested by a child. Consumers are being told to stop using the batteries immediately, keep them away from children, and contact the company for a refund.
Another household product recall targets Svnntaa portable bed rails, designed to prevent falls, but they are now tied to a series of entrapment and asphyxiation hazards.
According to the CPSC notice, the bed rails can leave dangerous gaps where users could become trapped between the mattress and the frame. Additional defects—such as stability failures and faulty locking mechanisms—also increase the risk of falls and injuries.
Sold on Amazon for about $32 between August 2023 and January 2026, the CPSC is advising consumers to dismantle and discard the faulty bed rails and contact the company—Eokeanon—for a full refund.
Elsewhere, nearly 700 EVLWZL and Gunugu mattresses are being pulled from the market after failing to meet federal flammability standards. Sold online on Amazon (and Walmart and Wayfair) from October 2025 through to March 2026, the products might not resist ignition, creating a dangerous fire risk in the home.
Rather than returning the mattresses, consumers are being offered a remedy kit that includes a protective cover designed to bring the product into compliance.
Recalls Issued for Protective Gear

Meanwhile, around 2,200 Favoto bike helmets, sold on Amazon between April 2022 and January 2026, have been recalled because they fail to meet impact and stability requirements. According to the CPSC, the helmets may not stay in place or provide sufficient protection during a crash—undermining their entire purpose.
Buyers are being instructed to stop using the helmets immediately, destroy them, and submit proof to Favoto to receive a refund.
Children’s Toy Pulled Over Choking Hazard

The final recall centers on a rainbow-themed wall-mounted toy sold by Justforjoyful.
While designed for young children, the toy includes a detachable drumstick with a rounded end that violates federal safety rules intended to prevent choking. Regulators warn that the component could be swallowed, posing a serious or even fatal hazard.
Only about 160 units were sold on Amazon, from December 2025 through to March 2026, but the CPSC is urging parents to act quickly—keeping it away from children, marking it as “recalled,” and contacting Justforjoyful for a refund.
A Broader Warning for Online Shoppers
In all five cases, the CPSC said no injuries have yet been reported, but the agency stressed that the risks are severe enough to warrant immediate action. Consumers are advised to check their homes for the affected products and follow the official recall guidance without delay.
For many shoppers, the takeaway is simple: Even routine purchases—from batteries to bed rails—can carry hidden risks, making it more important than ever to stay informed and act quickly when recalls are issued.
