No charges will be laid in the deaths of two men in New Brunswick after the incident was determined to be an apparent murder-suicide.
An investigation into two men’s suspicious deaths has determined one died in a homicide while the other’s was the result of a self-inflicted wound. A firearm was recovered from the scene.

New Brunswick RCMP responded on Aug. 12 at about 9:49 p.m. to a report of two sudden deaths at a residence on Knowlesville Road in Knowlesville, N.B.
Upon arrival, officers found a 68-year-old man and a 74-year-old man from the community dead inside the home. The two men knew each other and police said there was no threat to public safety.
The major crime unit began an investigation of what they said were suspicious deaths.
On Wednesday, the police unit finished their investigation, with autopsies completed for both men.
Police said no criminal charges would be laid due to the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
