Suits alum Patrick J. Adams praised every inch of his wife, Troian Bellisario, for her 40th birthday.

“I don’t know how you do it all or how I got so lucky to do it with you but I’ll take every damn drop I can get,” Adams, 44, captioned an Instagram post on Tuesday, October 28. “Happy birthday @sleepinthegardn — you are the gift that literally never stops giving and everyone lucky enough to know you feels it.”

He added, “You always move forward, no stone unturned, no sleep ‘til Brooklyn, no rest for the wicked, no ifs, ands or buts, no harm, no foul, no guts, no glory. All heart. All hustle. All love. Always and in all ways.”

His Instagram tribute included a photo of Bellisario laying naked beside a pool. Bellisario was covering herself enough to hide the fact that she wasn’t wearing clothes, but the snap left little to the imagination.

Fellow Suits alum Sarah Rafferty joined the celebration in the comments section of the sweet post.

“Happy birthday to the queen,” she wrote. “Love you friends!”

Adams’ Instagram tribute also featured other (more clothed) photos of Bellisario, including one from when she was pregnant with one of their two daughters: Aurora, 7, and Elliot, 4.

Earlier this month, Bellisario offered a rare look into the couple’s family life when posting a photo of Adams holding their two girls.

“Keep it down Montana,” she captioned the snap.

The couple met in 2009, but Bellisario broke up with Adams two years later.

“Troian broke up with me, and I didn’t want to break up,” he said in a 2012 interview. “The next day, completely unironically, I got an audition for her show, for a very small part on her show. A part that, at that point in my career, I would not have typically gone out for, because it was, like, one day of work on Pretty Little Liars.”

However, that role is what got them back together. Us Weekly confirmed in January 2014 that they were engaged and the couple tied the knot in 2016.

Over the years, both Bellisario and Adams have shared the story of how their second daughter was born in a rather unconventional way — in the back of a car in the hospital parking lot.

“She is still on all fours, butt facing the windshield,” Adams recalled on the “Katie’s Crib” podcast in 2021. “Her butt’s at my head level, so I just go and pull down her pants, and [the baby’s] head is right there.”

Adams noted there was “no room for panic” as he delivered the baby. “[It] all took place in the span of about three minutes,” he recalled, noting that someone from the hospital staff did get help after hearing about the situation.

“I just look over my shoulder, because I’m still on all fours,” Bellisario recalled. “I see Patrick holding her upside down, and she’s wailing, so I was like, ‘She’s alive. She’s OK. She’s breathing.’”
