Last week, the Baltimore Ravens announced their brand-new “Next Flight” uniform collection for the 2026 NFL season.
Derrick Henry one-upped them in the offseason announcement department on Monday.
The Ravens All-Pro running back posted a photo to his Instagram Story showing him holding his newborn daughter, Monroe, alongside the message, “Heaven Sent.”
Henry also wrote “GIRL DAD,” and “Just what we needed. Jesus send me a boy, though.” His third daughter was born on Jan. 13.
Henry previously confirmed the baby’s birth to PEOPLE in early February, but Monday’s post was the first time he shared a photo of the infant and her official birth date.
“My 5-year-old, she’s playing basketball now and soccer,” Henry told PEOPLE in February. “So just watching her and watching that competitive spirit grow. Then my 1-year-old, who will be 2 in April, [is] watching her big sister and can’t wait for her time to go play sports.”
Henry is entering his third season with the Ravens, and he’s actively defying conventional wisdom about when a prime expires for a running back in the NFL. At 32, Henry is still one of the best, most durable, and physically imposing athletes in the sport.
The future Hall of Famer registered 1,921 yards on 325 carries and an NFL-best 16 rushing touchdowns in 2024, which he followed up with 307 rushes for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2025.
While Henry has nothing left to prove individually, he’s still seeking his first Super Bowl ring, and the pressure is on the Ravens to bounce back from missing the playoffs at 8-9 last season.
