Icons are icons for a reason. That goes for silver-screen scene-stealers who keep us engrossed with every glance shot or word spoken — and stylish accessories that have stood the test of time, miraculously feeling of-the-moment no matter the decade. When the two combine? Pure magic. Here, five larger-than-life stars who’ve somehow made these prestige brands even more glamorous.
Faye Dunaway: Rolex
Screen legend Faye Dunaway was so enamored with her two-tone Lady-Datejust Rolex that she incorporated the watch into her wardrobe, pictured here, for her Oscar-winning role as a successful TV exec in the 1976 movie “Network.”
Marlon Brando: Omega
Though the Oscar-winning actor was known more as a Rolex man off-screen, during a break in filming the 1964 comedy “Bedtime Story” in Malibu, Marlon Brando proudly showed off an OMEGA Seamaster 300 timepiece from his personal collection.
Catherine Deneuve: Cartier
In the 1960s, très chic femme fatale Catherine Deneuve often showed off her Cartier Baignoire timepiece, a gift from her husband, fashion photographer David Bailey. Pictured wearing it here, at a 1965 screening of “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” the star also wore it in Roman Polanski’s 1965 film “Repulsion” and the famed 1967 drama “Belle de Jour.”
Steve McQueen: TAG Heuer
As befits the “King of Cool,” Steve McQueen’s red, white and blue TAG Heuer Monaco wristwatch was a perfect match for the stoic race-car driver he portrayed in 1971’s “Le Mans,” in which the actor did all of his own stunts.
Claudia Cardinale: Bulgari
Claudia Cardinale, whose film career spanned six decades, famously embraced la dolce vita through her vast Bulgari jewelry collection. Nine months after the muse of legendary director Federico Fellini died in September 2025, Christie’s auctioned off the Italian beauty’s beloved 18-karat yellow gold Bulgari Serpenti watch, crafted with enamel scales and pear-shaped sapphire eyes (pictured on her here in 1974). The winning bid? Nearly $228,000.
