An “action park” with more than a dozen themed slides, parkour equipment, air courts, laser tag and junior go karting is planned in Brisbane.

Entertainment company Fever Up – which launched Dopamine Land in the CBD, Prison Island in Fortitude Valley, and the pop-up Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience – is behind the proposal.

Dubbed “Slide Planet,” it would be in an industrial estate at 441 Nudgee Road in Hendra near Brisbane Airport.

Slide Planet, the new children’s entertainment centre planned on Nudgee Road in Hendra, would include more than a dozen themed slides and air courts.

“The proposal is for an immersive and interactive entertainment experience, utilising an action-park style operation featuring giant slides and air courts,” according to a development application lodged with the council.

“[It] is most comparable to similar action-park style venues such as ‘Bounce’ … however, the proposal is for a unique offering which will be a first within Australia.”

A Bounce facility – formerly known as Urban Xtreme – is located metres from the planned venue. It comprises large indoor trampolines, adventure courses and climbing walls.

The new facility would include about 15 themed slides, laser tag, a jump tower, junior go karting, basketball and football spaces, parkour equipment, a zipline and air courts.

Air courts are enclosed spaces that use an inflatable material to allow users to jump higher than they ordinarily could.

The slides would be themed – among those listed are a “black hole spiral slide,” “surf slide” and “avalanche slide”.

It also shows a bar, cafe, lobby, birthday party rooms and a toddler area.

The venue would be open as late as 10pm during school holidays, and could accommodate about 400 children. Guests would pay to enter for a set period of time.

The building is about 3000 square metres, and within walking distance of Brisbane Airport DFO, Skygate and Golf Central.

A spokesperson for Fever Up said the company was “finalising a number of details and contractual arrangements” and that more information would be made public in several weeks.

Slide Planet floor plan shows about 15 themed slides, laser tag, a jump tower, basketball and football spaces, and air courts.

The industrial estate where the venue is planned includes the Hungry Jack’s state headquarters, and offices for several large organisations.

Additional parking spaces would be painted to accommodate increased traffic.
