The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is coming to streaming and will premiere exclusively on Peacock. The film, inspired by the best-selling video game, is the second movie in the franchise — The Super Mario Bros. Movie hit theaters in 2023 and is available to watch on the NBCUniversal-owned streamer right now.
Ranked as the second-highest-grossing film based on a video game (The Super Mario Bros. Movie is at the top of that list), The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was the first film of 2026 to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office.
Upon the movie’s streaming release, Peacock will oinclude a collection of bonus content, including a behind-the-scenes featurette, an exploration of the characters, a look at the movie’s iconic settings, a deep dive into the music from composer Brian Tyler and more.
Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black and Keegan-Michael Key are all back as Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Bowser and Toad, respectively. Cast newcomers include Brie Larson, Donald Glover, Glen Powell and Benny Safdie.

When to stream The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on Peacock
US viewers can watch the video game blockbuster on Peacock on Thursday, July 30.
To view the movie, you’ll need to be a subscriber to either Peacock Premium, which costs $11 per month and includes ads, or Premium Plus, which costs $17 per month and is mostly ad-free. Peacock also offers a $8-per-month Select tier, but that plan blocks access to the streamer’s movie library, including Universal’s new releases, including The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
