Two bodies have been found in a home in inner Sydney, with police saying they could have been there for weeks.
Police were called to a house on Cleveland Street in Surry Hills on Thursday afternoon.
The body of one man was located inside the house before the body of a second man was located in a second room.
Both men are believed to have died in the house at different times within the past month.
They are believed to be aged in their 70s and 80s, but are yet to be formally identified.
A 63-year-old woman who lives at the same house has been spoken to by detectives.
One police source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the discovery was being considered as “a sad story at this stage”, and officers were investigating whether the pair died of natural causes.
A crime scene remains in place.
More to come.
