To crime news first up, six children have been removed from harm in the Philippines following an investigation into a WA man accused of child abuse.
The children were taken to safety by the Philippine National Police after receiving intelligence from the AFP about the investigation of a 53-year-old man.
The man, who lives in Albany, was intercepted by the Australian Border Force after returning on a flight from the Philippines through Perth Airport on March 26.
Officers examined his baggage, including a mobile phone, where they allegedly detected child abuse material and communications with a Filipino resident suspected to be facilitating the procurement of children.
