A woman has died and police are searching for two children reportedly seen “in distress” in a waterway in Sydney’s south-west.
NSW Police said emergency services were called to a Floyd Bay boat ramp off Hollywood Drive in Lansvale shortly before 10.15am on Saturday, “after a woman and two children were seen in the water in distress”.
“A short time later, a woman was pulled from the water, however she was unable to be revived,” police said.
“An extensive search is currently underway involving multiple agencies including police, Marine Area Command, PolAir and SES for two children believed to be in the water.”
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
