A Jewish man was stalked and then stabbed by a woman who stalked him on a busy Midtown street during the Wednesday evening rush, police sources said.

The victim, 26 – wearing traditional Jewish garb – was walking on Fifth Avenue near West 47th Street in the Diamond District just before 6 p.m. when a woman speaking Russian started following him, according to the sources.

Alarming video posted on X by the Manhattan Shomrim shows the suspected attacker closely following the victim around a parked car as he attempts to avoid her – while several pedestrians pass on the sidewalk.

The victim felt a sharp needle-like prick to his lower right back as he approached a nearby grocery store, according to the sources.

He told police he believed he was stabbed with a syringe, but it was not immediately clear whether anything was inside, the sources said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed as stable.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is looking into the disturbing attack.

Moshe Spern, president of the United Jewish Teachers, lashed out at Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

“Mayor Mamdani this is on you,” he raged on X Thursday morning. “Another Jew stabbed in broad daylight in Midtown.”

The attack came weeks after the NYPD revealed that hate crimes jumped by nearly 13% over the first nine months of the year compared to the same period last year, with anti-Jewish incidents accounting for more than half of them.

In July, a hateful lunatic ranting “Allahu Akbar” stabbed a Jewish and Asian man on the Upper West Side, authorities said then.

Prosecutors said a search warrant on his phone “revealed text messages containing antisemitic statements.”
