When born into the Rechsteiner family, one seems destined for a future in athletics.

Scott and Robert Rechsteiner, better known by their ring names Scott and Rick Steiner, carved out Hall of Fame careers as professional wrestlers in both World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Scott’s sons are both athletically gifted as well. Brandon is a point guard for the Colorado State basketball team and Brock was a wide receiver for the Jacksonville State football team who’s now under contract in the NFL.

“The Saints signed WR Brock Rechsteiner, according to a source. He stood out big time during rookie camp,” Nick Underhill of NewOrleansFootball.com posted on X.

Brock isn’t the only Rechsteiner to try and make it in the NFL. His cousin, Bronson, Rick’s son better known by his WWE ring name Brok Breakker, had a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens as a fullback in 2020.

In three seasons with the Gamecocks, Brock totaled 53 catches, 629 yards, and even touchdowns. He posted his best season last year with 36 receptions, 383 yards, and five scores.

Brock is the fourth rookie WR the Saints have added to their roster since the 2026 NFL draft, joining first-round pick Jordyn Tyson, fourth-rounder Bryce Lance, and sixth-round pick Barion Brown.

New Orleans Saints WR Brock Rechsteiner

Given the youth and inexperience of the Saints’ WR corps, save for three-time 1,000-yard wideout Chris Olave, there’s a chance Rechsteiner could crack New Orleans’ 53-man roster.

And if the NFL doesn’t work out, Brock has a pretty solid fallback plan. Brock is a member of the WWE NIL (Next in Line) program.
