Cody Rhodes has endured a whirlwind of events over the past several years. His return to WWE included a difficult injury and a disappointing loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

He followed that with a Royal Rumble win and the completion of his story at WrestleMania 40.

He’s since lost the WWE Championship to John Cena and regained it this year, with many people believing that he’s among the top stars who will carry the torch after Cena’s retirement.

That puts a lot of weight on Rhodes’ shoulders, adding to his already busy life, which includes more than just wrestling shows and appearances.

In addition to wrestling, Rhodes now hosts an exclusive podcast from WWE and Fanatics where he chats about life and wrestling with various superstars, including Nikki Bella and Becky Lynch.

In addition to his work, there’s family. He recently experienced a significant event in his personal life, just days before the WWE’s premium live event, Clash in Paris.

On Friday, Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes, took to X to share major news. They officially welcomed a new addition to their life.

A photo shows Brandi’s hand touching their newborn baby’s hand, presumably following birth at the hospital.

“Welcome to the world Leilani Ella Runnels. We are in love. Thank you God for answered prayers. Cody + Brandi + Libby + Lani = ❤️,” she wrote with her image.

Cody reposted his wife’s photo with a message, “Three taps on the ground My Leilani,” and a heart emoji.

Cody and Brandi also have a daughter, Liberty “Libby” Rhodes, born in 2021.

Fans saw Cody win back the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cena at SummerSlam earlier this month.

Since then, he hasn’t appeared much on television. On a SmackDown episode earlier this month, Drew McIntyre hit a Claymore to take him out of action.

The news of the Rhodes’ newest addition to their family arrives a few days before WWE Clash in Paris on Sunday. Cody is not currently on the match card and is most likely celebrating his new baby with Brandi.

It’s unclear when Cody will next appear on WWE television. There was speculation that Cody would return to action for a high-profile championship match against McIntyre at September’s Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He’s also part of the cast for a new Street Fighter movie, set to take on the role of Guile, and filming could cause his extended absence from WWE.
