A Saturday afternoon crash in Los Angeles sent eight people to hospitals, including a three-year-old and a nine-year-old who is in serious condition, after a vehicle crashed in the Arlington Heights neighborhood.
Firefighters responded around 12:51 p.m. near 4040 W. Washington Blvd., where they encountered the vehicle and began assessing those affected.
The Los Angeles Fire Department later confirmed that 10 people were evaluated, with eight requiring hospital transport.
The two children were among those hit by the car, according to FOX 11.
The motorist was described by the Los Angeles Police Department as a man around 60 years old who appeared to have remained at the scene, KTLA 5 reported.
It’s still unclear what caused the vehicle to end up on the sidewalk and whether the driver was among those hospitalized.
