At least one person suffered life-threatening injuries and another was being treated for smoke inhalation after fire tore through a home east of Brisbane.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to a Bayside Court unit block in Thorneside about 7.15am on Sunday.
One apartment was engulfed in flames, and the building’s roof had reportedly collapsed. Other flats were also damaged.

The fire was out of control for at least 45 minutes, with emergency services bringing it under control just after 8am.
