A man has been charged after the drowning death of a baby boy north-west of Brisbane.
The seven-month-old was found by his mother in a lake off Gympie-Curra Road in Chatsworth on Sunday morning.
His family was reportedly camping on their way home to north Queensland at the time.

A 42-year-old man known to the baby was charged with manslaughter on Tuesday afternoon.
He was arrested in Bundamba and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Multiple people tried to revive the baby on Sunday morning, but he was later declared dead in hospital.

“It’s been a very traumatic experience for her, clearly,” Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said of the boy’s mother.
“The family were passing through – they were just staying there overnight and, tragically, this incident has happened the following morning.”
Police are yet to provide details of the moments before the death, which they described as “unexplained” on the weekend.
