Four people were injured in a drive-by shooting at Loganholme, south of Brisbane, on Saturday evening, with a 19-year-old woman in a critical condition.

Police said they received reports at 8.15pm that a number of shots were fired outside Fitzy’s Loganholme on Bryants Road where a boxing event was being held.

“Four people have been injured and transported to hospital,” Queensland Police said in a late-night statement to the media.

On Sunday, they confirmed a 19-year-old Jimboomba woman was shot in the head and remains in a critical and unstable condition.

The other victims were 38-year-old Browns Plains man, who is in a serious but stable condition, a 37-year-old Salisbury man in a serious but stable condition and a 27-year-old Cornubia man who remains in a stable condition.

Police said the vehicle involved in the shooting incident was seen leaving the scene. A car matching the description was later found burnt-out on a street in the nearby suburb of Waterford West.

“There is not believed to be any ongoing threat to the public,” they said.

In a statement, event organiser Logan City Titles said they were praying for the victims’ full recoveries.

“We are heartbroken about the incident that occurred at the fight night,” they said.

“Logan City Titles was a family event, an event for our community, showcasing local talent, hard work and everyone’s skills inside the ring.

“Our heartfelt thoughts are with the victims, their families and loved ones, the staff and patrons who were present and the first responders who attended this distressing incident,” she wrote on social media.

“We understand there may be significant concern throughout our community. There are many rumours circulating online, so please avoid sharing unverified information and stay informed through official updates on the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Facebook page.”
