Kelly Osbourne is paying tribute to Amy Winehouse on what would have been the late singer’s 43rd birthday.

“Happy birthday, my beautiful Amy. 🤍,” Osbourne, 41, wrote via Instagram on Monday, September 14, alongside several throwback photos of herself with Winehouse, who died at age 27 from accidental alcohol poisoning in 2011.

“There are some people who come into your life and leave footprints on your heart so deep that time could never possibly erase them,” the Osbournes alum continued. “You are one of those people.”

Osbourne then recalled Winehouse’s “laugh” and “wicked sense of humor.”

“The little moments nobody else saw. The nights we laughed until our stomachs hurt, your meatballs, the conversations that only best friends could understand, and that extraordinary heart you carried beneath all that brilliance,” she wrote. “You were magic, Amy. Beautifully, wildly, imperfectly human and so very loved.”

Osbourne noted that she hopes Winehouse, who struggled with substance use and mental health in the years before her death, is “surrounded by the kind of peace you deserved here.”

“I hope you know that [Winehouse’s close friend Catriona Lundie Gourlay] and I are still together, that you are still loved, still missed, still spoken about with laughter and tears and still carried in the hearts of the people lucky enough to have known you,” she shared.

Osbourne concluded, “I miss you in ways words will never quite manage to explain. So today I won’t say goodbye. I’ll simply say what I wish I could have said to you every year: Happy birthday, sweetheart. I love you. I always will. Keep singing somewhere beautiful. Until we meet again. 🤍.”

Osbourne and Winehouse became friends in the early 2000s as members of the same social circle in the U.K. In her 2017 memoir, There Is No F***ing Secret: Letters from a Badass Bitch, Osbourne described Winehouse as the “mischievous ringleader” of their group.

“If Amy said to do something, people would do it,” she wrote. “And she’d easily convince someone to let us have a lock in after closing hours, or step behind the bar to start serving drinks herself.”

In Monday’s tribute to Winehouse, Kelly included a photo of the “Rehab” singer hugging her dad, Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July 2025 at age 76.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the Osbourne family told Us in a statement at the time. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Kelly paid tribute to her late father this summer by getting a tattoo of his signature round glasses.

“Dad, I still find myself looking for you in ordinary moments, the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I wish you could see,” Kelly wrote via Instagram on Father’s Day ahead of the first anniversary of Ozzy’s death. “The ache of missing you is the price of loving you, and I would pay it forever rather than have never been your child at all!”

She continued, “I will never stop missing you. It is an honor to spend the rest of my life loving you. Until we meet again! 💔.”
