Hovering hologram technology that creates images to hover and touch in air without the medium (12 inch hologram touch vision)
Marketon Inc. (CEO Richard Yang), a leading hovering hologram company, is leading the immersive display market with product installations and new contracts with Iksan City(Korea local government) train Station, the Seodaemun Museum of Natural History, Shinhan Bank, a large Korean bank group. Hovering holograms are a new high-tech holograms that can create images in the air without a medium, and can be touched with images in the air, allowing users to experience immersive content without goggles or VR glasses.
Last October, Marketon installed the “Hologram-based AI-Agent Information System” to Iksan train Station as world first Hologram-based AI-Agent, providing tourists and visitors to Iksan City with the opportunity to experience new realistic content. The holographic AI-Agent system personifies the mascot of Iksan City, “Marryongi,” and provides various information such as tourist information, geographic information, and traffic information using virtual characters. ‘Marryongi, introduce me to Iksan’s representative tourist spots,’ it says, and introduces Iksan’s representative tourist spots in detail. The Iksan City Government (Mayor Jeong Heon-yul) plans to draw improvement measures through this pilot project and expand it to other densely populated areas such as other train stations by reflecting the opinions of users.

On October, Marketon was selected as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service for three products related to 3D holographic touch vision. Three products were selected as innovative products, including a 7-inch holographic touch button, a 12-inch museum hologram, and a 24-inch kiosk hologram, and are expected to be expanded to 10-inch, 17-inch, and 19-inch products in the future. Innovative products are subject to an unlimited number of contracts under the National Contract Act and the Local Contract Act, and can be purchased with the budget of the Public Procurement Service to pilot early innovative products and receive various benefits.
Last September, Marketon has participated in the Seoul Testbed project run by the Seoul Business Agency(SBA) and completed the installation of 25units, 12-inch holograms in the science labs of the Seodaemun Natural History Museum(Seoul, Korea) and 8units, 24-inch holograms in the exhibition hall with immersive content in September this year. In the science labs, this company supplied a table system with 25 holographic devices so that 25 people can simultaneously conduct science lessons such as animal anatomy with individual holographic products, creating an environment that enables new science classes. Until now, it has been difficult to conduct animal anatomy experiments such as frogs and birds due to environmental issues, but by applying this holographic technology, it is possible to peel off the skin of a frog through touch, disassemble the intestines with a surgical knife, and observe the organs in detail, opening the way for natural science that incorporates advanced technology. These systems are not just utilized in museums or science labs, but also open up a new environment for future medical students to learn about the human body in 3D through holograms. In addition, through a 24-inch hologram devices, a large hologram product, the exhibition hall developed animal or plant contents for each of the eight contents, including dinosaurs, ediacaras, trilobites, plants, amphibians, human evolution, endangered species, and climate change, and completed the construction of an environment where you can enjoy detailed realistic contents from various angles while turning left and right, zooming in and out, and enjoying dinosaur animals without VR glasses.
Marketon has won three innovation awards this year. In April, the company received the “ICT Innovation Award” from the Ministry of Science and ICT at the “World IT Show 2024” event, recognizing its hovering hologram technology as an outstanding innovation. In June, the company received the “Next Innovation Award” at the “NextRise 2024, Seoul” event, and in October, the company received the “FIX Innovation Award” at the FIX Daegu event held in Daegu City.
“We are striving to take the lead in premium markets such as the U.S., Singapore, the Middle East, and Europe, and will lead the future display market by developing more innovative technologies,” said Richard Yang, CEO of Marketon.
