Two people have been charged with the murder of a 12-year-old girl, who died at a Gold Coast home in 2022 in what has been described as a confronting case for police.

The girl, who police said at the time suffered from a number of health conditions, was later declared dead.
Police launched Operation Uniform Zoysia to investigate the girl’s death, but it was not until Tuesday that police confirmed two people had been charged with murder.
Police were expected to provide further details of the arrests, but confirmed the 37-year-old man and 36-year-old woman were known to Tiffani.
The pair were scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
