Two teenagers have been killed after their car crashed and caught fire south of Perth on Saturday evening.
The boys were in a grey BMW sedan with two other teenage boys as they drove north on Railway Parade in Bullsbrook about 10.20pm.
It is understood the car was near the Twin Swamps Nature Reserve when it left the road and crashed into “several” trees.
Footage taken by witnesses appears to show the car caught fire shortly after the crash.
Police said two 16-year-old boys died at the scene, and two 17-year-old boys were seriously injured.
They were taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment, where they remain in a serious condition.
Police cordoned off Railway Parade and Warbrook Road while they investigated, with Railway Parade remaining closed until early on Sunday morning.
Detectives said they would be examining the cause of the crash, and asked anyone who may have had dashcam vision of the car prior to the incident to contact them.
“Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers,” a WA police spokesperson said.
The wreck of the car was taken from the site on Sunday morning.
