Cirque du Soleil – Luzia is a journey through Mexican culture with colourful costumery and high-flying feats. It’s all happening under the Big Top at the Royal Queensland Golf Club until November 10.
For those with kids, a new playground is opening at Archerfield Wetlands District Park, with a free open day on Saturday featuring live music, food trucks, tree planting and kids’ activities. Events run 9am to 1pm.
Out of town, Here and Now: Gold Coast Triennial opens on Saturday at HOTA in Surfers Paradise, with art from 42 local practitioners, while the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers continues with floral displays across the Garden City until October 7.
