Dust off those toys from the attic because they could be worth some serious cash.
Collectors across the globe are paying top dollar for novelty knickknacks and figurines like Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other iconic action figures.
Multiple experts and toy collectors recently told People some figurines — like the White Power Ranger — could be worth up to $250,000 in the coming years.
Today, reputable collectors on eBay are already offering up a signed copy of a series 2 White Power Ranger for $100,000 with a certificate of authenticity. The retro White Power Ranger is based on the character Tommy Oliver, who was introduced back in the 90s.
Here are a few more toys to break out of the storage units, as they could be worth some major green.
1. Star Wars collectibles
The 1977 classic film set off a storm of movies as the space franchise introduced beloved characters like Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett and R2-D2. Many of them became instant hits with kids.
R2-D2 toys are now in high demand, with collectors paying upwards of $12,000 just to get their hands on one.
“The most money I’ve ever spent on a non-wrestling figure is a Kenner, still-in-the-package R2-D2,” Cardona told People. “I’ve since gotten into grading, so it’s graded and it has a high grade and I spent $12,000 on that.”
But some folks are selling theirs for even higher prices, as many come with different features that only add value. For example, one eBay seller has theirs priced at $17,500 as it’s never been opened and comes with a stand.
2. Masters of the Universe
Castle Grayskull is the central location in the Masters of the Universe franchise — a sword-and-sorcery sci-fi comic-turned-movie franchise created by Mattel back in 1982.
The films — and their spin-offs — have made collectors a fortune, as the 80s classic is still in high demand. One of the Universe Castle Grayskull playsets is sitting on eBay for a whopping $6,000.
That’s only the tip of the iceberg. LCG Auctions just sold a playset for over $209,400.
The 1981 toy — originally around $20.00 to $27.99 — has only gone up in value as the popular playset continues to remain in the spotlight after the 2026 movie.
3. Hello Kitty
Global superstar, Hello Kitty, is a fictional character from the mid-70s. Japanese company Sanrio — whose real name is Kitty White — first appeared in March 1975 with her signature red ribbon.
In 2005, the company released a gothic version called Lolita — a Hello Kitty plush donning a black and white lace dress. That version sold for $265, according to Collection Hero.
4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Scratch the Cat — the crime-fighting, pizza-loving mutant street cat villain on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is also making waves in the collector community.
While many connoisseurs look for Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael or Michelangelo, the villain is now catching the eye of collectors. On eBay, an original package is selling for $4,500.
If you’re looking for one that’s a bit more reputable, try Heritage Auctions as the company has previously sold them between $3,000 to upwards of $5,000.
5. G.I. Joe
The U.S.S. Flagg aircraft carrier from the popular G.I. Joe was released back in 1985. The toys were quickly discontinued a few short years later in 1987.
The toys were first introduced by Hasbro, with the original 12-inch G.I. Joe figures — Action Soldier, Action Sailor, Action Marine and Action Pilot. The aircraft carrier was the largest action plaset ever made sitting at over 7.5 feet long.
The U.S.S. Flagg recently sold for $41,430 on LCG Auctions as it had the highest grade and the original cardboard shipping sleeve.
