Three people died in two crashes across south-east Queensland overnight.

Shortly before 11pm on Saturday, a black Audi and grey Subaru Impreza collided on Kingston Road, near the intersection of Parramatta Road, in the Logan suburb of Underwood.

All three people in the Subaru were seriously injured, with the driver initially trapped in the vehicle.

One of the passengers, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

Fire crews used hydraulic equipment to free the driver – a woman in her late 20s.

She was treated for life-threatening pelvic and head injuries at the scene before paramedics rushed her to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The other passenger, a man in his 30s, suffered chest and leg injuries.

Although police initially reported that the driver of the Audi, a man in his 20s, was unhurt, paramedics treated him for chest and neck injuries.

Both men were also taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, and were in stable conditions.

Hours earlier, about 8pm, police on the Sunshine Coast were called to another fatal collision, in which two people died.

A 68-year-old woman crossing Nicklin Way in Warana was struck by a motorbike. Both the woman, who was local to the area, and the 30-year-old motorbike rider, from Golden Beach in Caloundra, died at the scene.

On Sunday afternoon, police released an appeal to speak with a rider and pillion passenger of a Ducati motorbike near the area around the time of the crash.

The rider was described as a man wearing a white hoodie and black helmet, and the passenger a woman in a dark-coloured top and leggings.

Officers urged anyone with footage of either crash – including mobile, dashcam, or CCTV – from between 7.50pm and 8.10pm in Warana and about 10pm in Underwood, to contact police.

Investigations into both crashes were continuing on Sunday.
